Confidential InsureTech Launch
In 2018, Philip Morris International (PMI) engaged Propel for a confidential search to build the executive team for their groundbreaking InsureTech venture. The mission was to appoint a Director of Digital Product ahead of their 2019 launch, focusing on driving customer engagement through digital platforms.
The Challenge
The search required exceptional discretion as the project was confidential until launch. The role demanded expertise in both digital product development and customer engagement, with the added complexity that candidates couldn't know the client's identity until after initial qualification interviews.
The Solution
We conducted a targeted search across Insurance, InsureTech and FinTech sectors, maintaining strict confidentiality throughout. Our process included thorough preliminary screening before revealing project details, followed by detailed discussions with PMI's Digital and Marketing Director for shortlisted candidates.
The Results
The successful candidate was appointed in January 2019, with RevITI launching successfully in May 2019. Our discrete approach enabled PMI to secure top talent while maintaining project confidentiality throughout the search process.
