In August 2018 Philip Morris International (PMI) approached Propel through an internal referral. PMI were a few months away from the launch of a brand new InsureTech enterprise that was to disrupt the life insurance sector in 2019. The project was completely confidential, and the executive team was being built. Propel were engaged to help PMI appoint a Director of Digital Product. The role was crucial to the launch and ongoing success of the product. The successful candidate would be responsible for owning the customer journey through the website and app, and continued customer engagement post purchase.
The search was conducted confidentially, meaning that no candidate could be made aware of the end client until they had gone through the qualification interview with Propel in person. Once successful, candidates would be given the full details of the project by the Digital and Marketing Director. Although challenging, the disruptive nature of the product was very appealing. Following a full search, which targeted candidates from the Insurance, InsureTech and FinTech sectors, the successful candidate was appointed in January 2019 and reviti launched in May 2019.
