There were multiple hires within the newly formed Digital Team, so it was important to have high volume applications at speed. The candidate profile was very specific with candidates requiring a blend of creative knowledge and experience working in a high volume B2C business. It was important that this candidate was able to commute into London at least twice a week due to the Leads demand of physical interaction in the form of whiteboard sessions and workshops.
Propel scheduled an initial briefing with Badoo to discuss the ideal candidate profile. It was apparent right away that the candidate needed to show physical evidence through a portfolio of working on B2C application, preferably with business that have a customer base in the millions. We then targeted the top B2C applications based in London. Due to the nature of the business we had a lot of interest and spent time narrowing down the pool to the most relevant candidates (industry backgrounds, customer volume etc..)
Being able to provide Badoo with a range of candidates from a diverse background in terms of gender, ethnicity and commercial experience they were able to select the chosen candidate from a number of finalists. This escalated in us placing a strong culturally aligned Graphic Designer into the new Digital Team and expanding our relationship into other areas of the business.
